Fix: Gmail Account Temporarily Unavailable

Gmail is one of the most populous web-based email services accessed on computers and mobile phones today. If you use Gmail on your computer and it is stating that your Gmail account temporarily unavailable, troubleshoot the issue with the quick steps given below. This error mainly occurs due to the loss of Internet connection or Wi-Fi connectivity problems.

  • Step : 1 First, you have to click the Network icon on the system tray of your Windows computer.
  • Step : 2 From the pop-up context menu, select the Open Network and Sharing Center option.
  • Step : 3 Besides, you can open the Network and Sharing Center window using the Control Panel app as well. To do so, click the Start menu available at the bottom-left corner of the screen and type ‘control’ in the search panel.
  • Step : 4 From the search result, double-click the Control Panel app to launch it. Click the Network and Sharing Center tab in the Control Panel window.
  • Step : 5 In the Network and Sharing Center window, click on the Change adapter settings link under the Control Panel Home section located on the left.
  • Step : 6 You can now see various network adapters showing no Internet connection in the Network Connections window.
  • Step : 7 Select all the LAN Area Connection adapters and press the Delete key.
  • Step : 8 If prompted, click Yes to confirm your action and select OK.
  • Step : 9 Right-click the Wi-Fi network adapter icon and select the Disable option.
  • Step : 10 Once again, right-click the Wi-Fi network adapter icon and select the Enable option to re-enable it.
  • Step : 11 Now, exit from the Network and Sharing Center window and return to your browser.
  • Step : 12 Refresh the Gmail page and check if the problem has been resolved.
  • Step : 13 If the problem persists, click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon (three vertical dots) at the top-left corner.
  • Step : 14 Select the History option from the drop-down list to open the browsing history.
  • Step : 15 Besides, you can open it by pressing the Ctrl + H shortcut keys.
  • Step : 16 Select the Clear Browsing Data option and select all the checkboxes in the pop-up dialog box.
  • Step : 17 Choose the beginning of time from the pull-down menu and click the Clear browsing data button. Doing so will clear all the browsing data and history on your Chrome browser.
  • Step : 18 Now, go to the Gmail Sign-In page and sign in to your Gmail account to check if the Gmail Account Temporarily Unavailable issue has been resolved.
